So I usually think that I’m a bad photographer and that my pictures suck but now I’ve realized that not every contact sheet is going to be gold and I finally understand why my teacher tells us to take a camera with us everywhere.  If we’re serious, at least.  Also, it helps to have the right gear.  Like I finally got (borrowed) this big ass flash which is a huge help in places where there isn’t enough light.  Holy fuck, it’s beautiful man.  And also having a tripod is a must.  But it sucks carrying that shit around.  Anyway, as far as photography goes I found this guy who has traveled to all 192 countries in the world and taken pictures there.  That’s pretty fucking awesome.  And while looking at his work, I realized that I can take those picture, I already have taken pictures like that.  So that makes me happier.  Especially since he went to Liberia, which I still can’t help but think that Liberia is one of those countries that no one has ever heard of.  And sometimes that’s true, but at other times I’ve been surprised by people who are like, “yeah, of course I know about Liberia, why wouldn’t I?”
